The UConn Club annually recognizes a former UConn student-athlete who has gone from the athletic fields to distinguish himself or herself in their chosen careers with the Red O’Neill Award. The Club also recognizes a significant contributor to the University of Connecticut Division of Athletics with the A. J. Pappanikou Outstanding Contribution Award.
A 50/50 Raffle is run during athletic events, under registration from the State of Connecticut Division of Revenue Services. Raffle tickets are sold during two selected events each year. A drawing is held, and the winner splits to raffle income with The UConn Club to support UConn Athletics.
Other registered raffles may be run during the year.
The UConn Club Board of Directors solicits items for at least one online auctions each year. Athletics supporters are offered the opportunity to register and bid online. The auction items may be shown during a live event prior to the auction close. Winning items are paid for online by the winning bidder and picked up at the live event, or the item is shipped to the winner.
The UConn Club Board of Directors annually sponsors a fun golf tournament. The 2021 event will be held on September 14th at the Waterbury Country Club.
